- We published our first PNAS paper on hypersonic wall-bounded turbulence: Velocity transformation for compressible wall-bounded turbulent flows with and without heat transfer.
- Prof. Fu becomes an Assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and the Department of Mathematics at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
- Our first Physical Review Fluids paper is accepted with title of ''A general method for determining the boundary-layer thickness in non-equilibrium flows''.
- TENO scheme and HTR solver have supported the DOE PSAAP 3 (Predictive Science Academic Alliance Program) project at Stanford University.
- As an invited seminar talk, Dr. Fu presented the high-order TENO scheme for Hyperbolic Conservation Laws and Turbulent Flows at Argonne National Laboratory on Dec. 16th, 2020.
- Dr. Fu gave an invited talk with title of “High-order TENO schemes for general hyperbolic conservation laws and turbulent flows,” on June 9th, 2020 .
- A new hypersonic flow solver from Center for Turbulence Research at Stanford University is published. The solver is based on the sixth-order low-dissipation TENO6-A scheme for shock-capturing and the code is open-source.
- Dr. Fu gave an invited talk with title High-fidelity computation and modeling of compressible turbulent flows, on Feb. 28th 2020, at Division of Applied Mathematics, Brown University.
- The high-order TENO schemes have been reported in the well-known CFD textbook, Computational Methods for Fluid Dynamics.
- Dr. Lin Fu was issued a mesh generation patent in both EU and USA, Method and System for Generating a Mesh.
- Dr. Lin Fu gave a CTR tea seminar talk on Friday, April 5, 2019 , DNS and WMLES for shock-induced aerodynamic heating in hypersonic boundary layers at Mach 6.
- Dr. Lin Fu proposed the novel mesh generation methods, published on the top CMAME journal, An isotropic unstructured mesh generation method based on a fluid relaxation analogy, Volume 350, 15 June 2019, Pages 396-431.
- Dr. Lin Fu gave a CTR tea seminar talk on Friday, January 26, 2018 , The high order TENO schemes: concepts, methods and performances.
- Dr. Lin Fu moved to CTR at Stanford University since Jan. 2018. He mainly worked with Prof. Parviz Moin on turbulence modeling.
